Random Tuesday Thoughts: Stink Stank Stunk

randomtuesday

I coughed this morning which somehow caused a nasty back spasm in my upper back. Now I can barely move my upper body. Sounds like a great day already!

My six year old was running around outside with his friends yesterday afternoon. When he came inside, I noticed that he stunk. It was the first time that he ever smelled bad after running around. I was actually proud. All the other moms would talk about how they had to give their boy(s) a bath because they were stinky. My boy never really had that issue...until now. I guess his stink glands finally started operating :-) Now if he would only lose a tooth already!

Kindergarten was so great. The boys and girls seemed to get along fine. Now, in first grade, it seems the girls have acquired cooties. My son tries to tell me how girls drool and boys rule and girls stink. I keep telling him that I don't think I agree. I guess boys don't consider their moms to be girls or something. Moms are in some other category.

I have been spending a lot of my time at work justifying my job rather than doing my job. I like my Manager. I have been working for him for almost 3 years now. But unfortunately, his boss (who has only been his boss since last January) seems to want nothing more but to get rid of whole team. We have layoff notifications coming out in a couple weeks. I asked my boss about it and he said it is not good news. He would not tell me how many we have to lose but just said it wasn't the whole team. It sure is hard to concentrate on work with this going on.

On an up note, Netflix is shipping Up to me. It should be here today. I can't wait to see it!

Well that is about it for now. For a great blog that doesn't stink, visit the Un-Mom.

I am like the only person who hasn't tried Netflex.

Have a wonderful RTT!

you poor thing. I've had phases of work like that... where some outside operations guru decides everything needs to be justified and dog and pony shows ensue and work doesn't get done!

Hope you back feels better - I've had that happen too... just turn my head the wrong way for a second and boom!

I hope all goes well with your job. My husband's company has been laying off people all year. We are wondering if they are going to have a complete layoff between Christmas and the New Year. Not a great present, that's for sure!

Stinky boys can get really stinky. Just wait until puberty, you won't enjoy that smell at all - LOL. I hope your job is safe. Enjoy UP!

Wonder if you liked UP, we saw it in the movies this summer, and everyone really liked it - even my mother.

Have a great day.

That's too funny! Princess Nagger loved boys in Kindergarten, but now that she's in first grade, she keeps saying they're annoying. I've asked her if it's because they have cooties, but she just looks at me like I've lost my mind. ;)

Sorry about your back spasm - those are absolutely no fun!

It's hard to work efficiently if you're waiting for the ax to fall. My last job was like that, too. Especially after new upper management came in and wanted to make a bunch of changes. Good luck - hopefully you're not on that list!

Interesting! That's funny to hear you're proud of his stinkiness.

I hope everything works out with your job. My husband was laid off last
year and I know it caused him a lot of stress. Good luck!

It is funny how quick cooties fade out these days! It lasted for years when I was a kid.

I hate when my back goes out for almost no reason!

It cracks me up that you're proud of the stink!

oh, the things that make us moms proud. I don't think this will be a problem for us, though, if my sons feet are any indication.
