We had a visitor in our house last week. It was a lady bug. My three year old and I named her Dottie. So that made me think, are there any boy lady bugs? There must be right? Although I never heard the term manly bugs. I'll have to Google it or Wiki it some time.
My oldest son discovered a cut on his middle finger during Karate class last night. He came over to show me. I told him it was OK and to go back out onto the floor. To my horror, he kept trying to show me from the floor by holding up his middle finger. I started laughing hysterically as did many of the other parents. Needless to say, my son and I had a big discussion about how holding up your middle finger is a way of saying a really bad word. I am sure he is going to tell all of his school friends about it today.
During our visit with my In-laws this weekend, my SIL brought out her "Bob It" toy. My boys really enjoyed playing with it. However, I will admit that after a while, it does start to get on your nerves. So it was funny when we sat down to watch the Simpsons this weekend and they made fun of the "Bop It". Besides the Simpsons, my other two favorite shows are Intervention and Hoarders. Hoarders is a new show and it is very interesting. If you have not seen it, you should check it out.

The middle finger! Too funny. My son kept trying to read like that in second grade. I had to explain to him, "Let's use another finger."

I don't know what is sillier, the fact that the middle finger actually is associated with an offensive word, or the fact that people are actually offended by it. I have to laugh when I see it blurred out on a tv show!
Well...there are make lady bugs in A Bugs's Life. If it's in a kid's movie, it's got to be true, right? lol
Oh, and I love Hoarders too. Makes me feel better about what I call "messy!"

Oh that is too funny! "Here mom, let me flip you off from WAAAY over here!" I am interested in the ladybug thing now too. I will have to google it as well. You can't just post a question without the answer you know!
Christine, i swear my honey and i discussed this boy-ladybug thing about three days ago! we have watched hoarders but man, some of those people are soooooooo frustrating! bless their hearts.
